POW Oct 8th –Oct 14th

Allegany

Division 1: Junior midfielder Carl Holmes figured in all five goals (3 goals, 2 assists) in Cuba-Rushford's win over Friendship this past week.  He leads his team in goals and assists.

Division 2: Houghton Academy's resurgence over the last half of the season (winning 7 of the last 8) is largely due to Junior  goalkeeper Robbie Leete.  He has five shutouts over that stretch and has allowed only five goals in eight games, stopping a penalty kick along the way.

City/Catholic

Wilson Junior sweeper Alhaji Bah has been a huge reason for the tough defense of the Wildcats this year.  Alhaji, playing his first year as sweeper after previously playing foward, has done an amazing job of leading and learning a new position.

Finger Lakes

Junior forward Jason Anderson of Mynderse had a total of 6 goals and 1 assist for the week and is currently the leading scorer in the Finger Lakes League and tied for 3rd in Section V with a total of 17 goals and 5 assists.

Division II - Zach Mouw - Avon - Senior midfielder - Zach scored two goals and two assists in two games helping us to clinch our division title.

Division III - Jack Mann - Keshequa - Sophomore midfielder -  Jack had 2 goals and 2 assists in two wins.  Jack plays defensive center-mid and has played a key role in helping our team to a 12-1-1 record.  Jack does a lot of the "dirty" work which includes winning balls and marking the opponents top players.  He has helped the defense in allowing only 7 goals this season.
